THE (?) Tolkien

I've just opened Yahoo! and seen a headline Return of the Tolkien
The article itself starts this way:
<An unfinished tale by J.R.R. Tolkien has been edited by his son into a completed work and will be released next spring, the U.S. and British publishers announced Monday>
so, here is my question: wouldn't it be better to write Return of the Tolkien's? I understand the question is the Tolkien's work, this is why 'the' appears. But it can't be seen from the headline, can it?

'Return of the King' was a book written by Tolkien so the headline is just referencing that. Why would you think it would need to be "Return of the Tolkien's?" I'm unsure of what exactly you mean. Are you trying to pluralize Tolkien (in which case it'd be written "Tolkiens") or are you trying to show possession (as in "Tolkien's")? And why would either of those be necessary there?

article 'the' before a name - this is what's confusing me

Oh, well that's not a normal thing but as I said before the headline is referencing Tolkien's book entitled 'Return of the King'. It's kind of a play on words.
