Said eg of a journalist: to seek out and expose scandal.

haha. I'm a chinese, and i have lived in china twinty years. But i even can't know just one word, and i can't spell these words. so write some simple sentenses:
hello! 你好 nihao.
exuse me 打扰了。
Robin   Mon Oct 02, 2006 12:44 pm GMT
I did think about "I bang my knee", which seems like a very simple expression to me.

Replace the word "bang", with the word, "knock", and all should become clear.

I knock my knee.

Bang of course, means to make a sound, which is why it is a little confusing in this context.

I do not know what to make of Mr / Mrs / Ms Swings?

hi guys,
I think the proper title should be "how chinese (specifically: cantonese-speaking chinese) learn to speak English (chinglish sometimes maybe?)"

:)
Justin   Mon Oct 02, 2006 2:56 pm GMT
Nothing but silly mimicking of English sounds written in Hanyu Pinyin, and why y'all take it seriously?
Guest   Tue Oct 03, 2006 11:32 am GMT
the title should be 'learn to speak english'

Apparently some didn't really notice, which is quite hilarious too.

BTW, No.3 'Wai Yu Mun Ching' = 'Why (are) you munching'.

With China (along with India apparently) set to become the world's most powerful country economically, technologically and, perhaps, militarily in a few decades' time, it's time now for all of us to buckle down and learn Chinese (Manadarin presumably). That's quite a challenge on the face of it...all those characters to get acquainted with, but perhaps it's easier than we think. Suddenly it seems quite an attractive idea. I adore Chinese food of any kind......sometimes I feel like pouring soy sauce over my porage.

Soy sauce on porage ... now there's fusion for you.
Guest   Fri Oct 06, 2006 1:08 am GMT
Ick, that is absolutely vile. As the commercial goes: "Tha's nort how you make porridge".

And the other ad: "Porage... it's French for breakfast" (not quite).

Hi dingdong,
I am sorry, I am not trying to make you hard, but as a chinese like me
I don't really like the word 'CHINGLISH'.

I heard that the word "CHING" implies humiliated and abusive meaning to chinese.(If that is incorrect, please let me know.)

I'd like to tell the following to my chinese brothers and sisters.

I personally believe everyone in the world is equal, and is supposed to proud of his/her race.

And we are learning english in here, not worshiping native speaker.

Beleive me, It certainly helps you guys to speak shiny english in font of native speakers some days,if you use this attitude.

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!!!!!
