"That suit is kicking."
That phrase is from Serving Sara movie. The guy said it to his boss.
What did he mean by this?

He meant:

"That suit is/looks great."

I believe this idiom arose out of the expression "really kicks ass" which also means great or fantastic.

So follow the evolution this way:

"That suit is fantastic"

"That suit really kicks ass"

"That suit is kick-ass"

"That suit is kicking"
