What does that mean?

It's sort of out of context, but it essentially means to have a discussion of ideas immediately between individuals or whoever....

bounce ideas off- discussions of ideas

real time- immediate, at the moment

To me, it should be without "of".

I prefer the "of", myself. But it can be said either way.

I hcan't believe you've never heard the expressions "bounce ideas off" or "real time", Brennus! They're both pretty common, and not particularly new.

For me definitely without the "of" but in its place I rather have some noun e.g. "each other", "you", "me", "a pannel of experts", "Queen Elizabeth II", etc.
