Which is correct?

Agreed on what the others have said, it depends on the context of what you wish to express.

"I'm human" is like saying you've got flaws, feelings, dreams, emotions, that you're a alive etc. You could say, "Crap, I messed up big time. But I'm only human." or if you're on top of a mountain yelling "I'M HUMAN!" It's more of a subjective kind of sentence I think, if that makes sense at all.

"I'm a human" is like saying that you're a person, but I guess you can also say like above, "I'm a human, with rights and wants and needs." To me, this sounds more objective kind of.

But I don't know, that's just my personal take on it. But then again, they're both right so meh.

I would say, that it depends if you want to be or not to be.

May I suggest : I am a human being.

To be, or not to be, that is the question, is that not ?
