Is this sentence right?

I would like also to greatly thank my supervisor Professor Dr Maria, Rector of University of ****, London, for overall supporting during my thesis.

I would change it to:

"In addition, I would like to thank my supervisor, Professor Maria from the University of **** in London, for his(her) support during my thesis.

i do not think you have spelled it right and i would consider to change it, however it depends on how you read it I guess, but i cannot be bothered to explain sorry.
