What is the meaning of "¿y eso?" as a question?

Thanks a lot. I don't have any context so can you give to me a example?

The expression could point to a physical or abstract thing.

It could be "what about that ?" or "what do you mean ?" or "why ?" or "although".

Person 1: "Esto pertenece a Mark y esto a Ana". (This belongs to Mark and this to Ana.)
Person 2: "¿Y eso?" (And what about that ?)

Person 1: "Voy a dejar el colegio" (I will leave the school)
Person 2: "¿ Y eso ?" (what do you mean ?, what does it mean or why ?)

"Viva! Gané la lotería. 'Y eso' que nunca compro billetes"
(Hurra! I won the lottery. Although (amazingly) I never buy tickets.

In Spanish, a question beginning with "¿Y...?" often means "What about...?"

Just last night, I read an old Calvin and Hobbes strip in Spanish where Hobbes had just given Calvin a terrible haircut, and he lost all his hair. The third panel went something like this:

Calvin: ¡Espero que seas feliz!
Hobbes: ¿Feliz? ¡Me estafaste! ¿Y mis ocho dólares?

The last sentence means "What about my eight bucks?" or "Where's my eight bucks?"
