How to understand "US policy" here?

Can we take a vote and have Franco's posts eliminated automatically from the forum by the moderator? He shows up on almost every thread, but adds nothing to the linguistic content, other than show off how well he thinks he's mastered insults in English.

Hi skippy, everyone is entitled to their views. Why do you want moderators to delete the franco's posts?

he has a philosophical mind.

I'm not defending Franco's other posts, but he is right about US ambassadors' unwillingness to avoid ending slaughter around the world.

Go Franco.

Everyone is entitled to their views, but they are not entitled to voice them on forums where it is inappropriate to do so. The purpose of this forum is to discuss language, not politics. Anything else is inappropriate.

Well, get accustomed to the world and the nature of man. If it is inappropriate for someone to change topic in a language forum, it must definately be inappropriate for the most rich and influential country to orchestrate mass murder or innocents.

But, Franco, we are not going to change America or Americans' way of thinking by crying on a language forum. Let's talk about languages for a change.

No need to :-D

Hey, Damian and I occasionally try to interject a little linguistics into our rambles. ;)

Kef, my advice after being here a few years is get used to the fact that the forum rules are only haphazardly enforced, there's always some degree of benevolent anarchy and craziness going around, trolls aboud, people will go off on subjects that touch a nerve (appropriate or not), and there are some people on here that it's just better to ignore -- anything else just encourages them! If you take offense at every little prod they will pounce on you....

Such messages are usually deleted if noticed. The moderator hasn't been around as often as usual for some reason, so it might take an extra day or two.

Franco is no philosopher, he's a psychopath who fled from Europe to hide in South America.
