Is French pronunciation hard to master?

Spanish is closer to Latin than French ,no matter how many words Spanish borrowed from Arabic since appart from vocabulary, French has diverged a lot from Latin. Remember that the words that make up the vocabulary of a language can easily be changed for others, while more inner aspects of the language remains unchanged or at least change more slowly. For example in Spanish there is the word "tahona" which derives from Arabic. It means bakery but people who are 60 years old or less use exclusively "panaderia". There may be tons of words in Spanish which suffered the same process, but this one illustrates well what I mean. According to the linguistic Mario Pei Spanish diverges from Latin two times less than French does.

It's as simple as this, Spanish and Portuguese do not sound Arabic, but French does sound Germanic.
