How would you use "glued to" in a non-literal sense?

"His favorite show was on, so he was glued to the TV."
Hmm... I think it's most frequently used with television, but it can be used with other things. For instance, one could say I'm glued to my computer right now, since I use it obsessively... I wouldn't say it myself, but it's plausible that somebody else might.
