In the movie <<Dreamgirls>> one of main characters Effie told her daughter's teacher that "My daughter don't need a father" shouldn't it have been "doesn't need a father"?

This is a dialectism. Yes, when speaking Standard American English you would say "doesn't" but they are speaking in (I guess) AAVE. Not sure, never saw it...
