"xettonym" has been proposed as a word meaning "a word that starts with "x". What do you guys think about the word?

I didn't know there were words that MEANT "words that start with...."! Seems a little silly to me.

Sounds like a great idea to me.

Of course, we'd need words like aettonym, bettomyn, ... , zettonym, too.

Other possibilities are words like phettonym, (starts with ph), and eeetonym (words like eel), and even xettonymxettonym (words like xettonym and xettonyms).

This looks liks a great scheme to generate an unbounded number of words.

The more words we have, the merrier. :)

Well, it'll make dinner conversations that much longer, I guess!

The reason why someone would come up with a word for "words that start with "x"" is that there are very few words that start with "x" compared to other letters.

There's also "pwnonym" which refers to "a word that originated from the typo of another word".
