<<<The Romans are not gone AT ALL: they go on living on everyday habits and traditions in Europe.
mmmhhh where are the rests of the great German civilization of that time?
>>>

rests of the great German civilization of ancient time are for example:

Christian traditions like christmas
Hate and abolition of slavery as well as of clientele based corruption and nepotism
Beer brewery
Soap
Feudalism
Love and respect for Greek and Roman Culture and achievments
loyalty - sense for cooperation, teamwork and fair play
etc. etc.

<<Beer was invented by the Egyptians. >>

Germans invented it too, big deal.

Mayans had pyramids...does that have anything to do with the Egyptians??? Human resourcefulness should be appreciated wherever it manifests itself, especially if it's independent of others'...

1) there was a Carolinian Renaissance, which was more important for Europe than the Renaissance in the 14th to 17th century
2) 13th to 17th century Renaissance was a European phenomenon and not just Italian
By the way, many historians now point out that most of the negative social factors popularly associated with the "medieval" period - poverty, warfare, religious and political persecution, for example - seem to have worsened in the Renaissance era which saw the rise of Machiavelli, the Wars of Religion, the corrupt Borgia Popes, and the intensified witch-hunts of the 16th century. Many people who lived during the Renaissance did not view it as the "golden age" imagined by certain 19th-century authors, but were concerned by these social maladies

So you're saying: ITALIAN renaissance was shit, while GERMAN renaissance was the real deal.
