blurred V. blurry?

Do they just spell different and have the same meaning?

I wouldn't say so. "Blurry" is the usual term, but "blurred" might be used when something was (usually deliberately) made blurry. For example, something that's censored on television is usually described as "blurred" rather than "blurry".
