Sexism in Language
Hi, I'm doing research on how languages describe a sexually promiscuous woman in negative terms while a sexually promiscuous man is described in positive terms.
For example, such female is a slut, whore, hoe, fallen woman
Such male is a pimp, lucky, player, Don Juan, lady's man
What about your language? Are there languages which do not have this difference?
Sexism is a cultural element, therefore I suppose every language has this difference.....unfortunately

In French some words in there female form have a connotation refering to woman as prostitutes or sexual-minded persons, while the male form dosen't have such a sexual aspect (or not the first way you understand it while reading or listening)
For example, francophones bein exposed alot to English translated movies in French will hear quite often girls are bitches, so with time, ''chienne'' will be considered as a lack of respect to woman, and not the female of a ''chien'' (dog).
I found this for you, this is a list of words for men / woman and it reprensents, for humoristic purpose, how the woman aspect is sexualised. They are some language inacuracies in the text, but as I said it was done to put more enphasis on humour.
