question about smoke cigarette

I heard somebody said he was too busy to smoke a cigarette, only can have a "bite" of it. I don't really mean "bite" here, just mean smoke once not the whole cigarette. so a "what", can someboday complete it. thank u.

Hmm. I would say "puff". Or you could say "a bit of it", which could be used for a lot more than just cigarettes.

By the way, your topic title is ungrammatical. It should be "Question about smoking a cigarette." :)
