What's it mean?

The phrase is not "nerve wrecking" but rather is "nerve wracking", for the record.

It means annoying, or possibly annoyingly difficult.

It can be spelled either "nerve wracking" or "nerve racking" (see http://www.bartleby.com/68/50/4050.html or http://dictionary.cambridge.org/define.asp?key=53399&dict=CALD ). It means that something is very stressful on one's nerves.

Nah, sweetheart. Reading his train-sized sentences and looking up his Einsteinnized vocab has been nerve-racking for me over the years!
