to what? Spanish?

Yes, to Spanish. Many more grammatical similarities than English to Russian.

I think
Galician, Catalan and Brazilian portuguese

European Portuguese and Italian grammar are a bit trickier than the spanish one

European Portuguese has some more verbal tenses and the use of personal pronounce is harder than in Spanish
Italian uses two verbs to form all the compound tenses and the use of articles and prepositions is more irreguliar and trickier than in Spanish

Easiest grammars for a Spanish speaker:

Portuguese grammar (almost identical)
Catalan/Occitan grammar
French grammar
Italian grammar
English grammar

It's impossible you probably thought of mastering it

after 15 days you were able to distinguish:

ho cambiato l'abito il tempo è cambiato
ce ne ho molti
hai dei cappelli, sì ne ho
oggi ho corso molto/ sono corsa alla stazione
los dioses = gli dèi
l'uovo = le uova el huevo los huevos
and so on

I know too well all the mistakes that Spanish speaking people usually make speaking in Italian
You would look much more intelligent if you avoided telling bullshit like that

I have some knowledge of Latin too. It helped me to grasp the Italian peculiarities like neuter plural.

It's...Spanish!
French is a bit tricker.
Forget about Italian, it has the most difficult grammar

Italian grammar is not difficult. I studied a bit of Basque and it is a joke to say that Italian grammar is difficult for a Spanish speaker.

You cannot compare Basque and Italian. Basque is far more difficult than Italian for a Spaniard and in general for indoeuropean languages speaking people, nevertheless Italian is not as easy as most Spanish speaking people think. That's only a cliche
Guest   Wed Dec 05, 2007 4:18 pm GMT
In fact Italian is easier than most Spanish speakers say.

Nothing is difficult when you don't know it!
Italian grammar is very difficult and everybody claiming the contrary doesn't know ANYTHING about it. Unfortunately there are persons who learn 2 words of a language and are so stupid that think to master it (this applies for Italian and for all other "easiness" language-claims on this forum).
The fact that Italian seems more natural to Spanish speakers it's just because some similarities and not because Italian grammar is easy, every educated langauge scholar say that is the most difficult romance language.
It's like saying that for a Korean is easy to learn Japanese so Japanese is simple.
In my view Italian is much more difficult than Spanish too, so if there is a joke is saying that Spanish grammar is difficult for an Italian speaker.
