is that also correct?

There are speakers of an American dialect that say something like that. It is not standard American English, and therefore most people would say incorrect.

Which part is stupid, that most speakers of standard English would consider the pronunciation incorrect, or that I pointed it out?

What you maybe be referring to is l-vocalisation, where /l/ is realized as a vocoid in certain positions. I have this in my dialect of English, and I say 'girl' [g3`:o] or [g3`.U]<<

In the dialect of English here, it similarly ["gR=:M:], for the record.
