Okay, I say this zee. I know the British/most Canadians/Australians/Kiwis say zed. I read somewhere that the Scots say ezed. Is this true at all?

No, I'm sure that wasn't a typo. There definitely are some (archaic) dialectal forms in English like "izzard" and "izzed" (possibly coming from French "et zède"), and I've seen "ezed" mentioned as a Scots variant.
Ezed is not a typo - it's the Scots form for the letter Z - but if you ask most Scottish people to spell out the word "buzz" they will say "bee yew-double zed"....in a Scottish accent. :-)
