Also, the whole long word thing. I just saw a Sony commercial marketing a phone, and under the ad, it said "cameraphone."

It's just a compound word, and in other Germanic languages they can get quite lengthy. English doesn't do this.

We don't have those extremely long words in Serbo-Croatian, but I was reading something not so long ago and came by a word "neinstitucionalizovana" (I guess it would be something like "uninstitutionalised" in English), so I remembered these threads about the longest words and thought I'd post it here. :)
