Shakira still sings mainly in Spanish and a few of her songs are in English, but she centers her career on the Spanish market. On the other hand I mainly sing in English because French is not a lucrative language. It's not even beautiful to sing. I hate the French uvular R's. They are so unsophisticated and low class.

Wow, I can't believe Céline Dion visits this site! I feel so priviledged.

You are speaking of Latin Pop music. Remember that Traditional Pop Music is in English and Classical Music is in Italian.

SoulSeek used to be the best back in 2004/2005, but I'm away of downloading since a few years so I can't really tell what's in top these days

Why do you think people in Europe and Canada are more prone to download music illegaly? Is it due to the influence of socialism and its disrespect for private property? Should these people be in jail as the thieves they are?

Céline Dion still sings mainly in French and a few of her songs are in English, but she centers her career on the French market. On the other hand I mainly sing in English because hispanics could not even afford to feed themselves so no one would buy my CD because they're poor. It's not even beautiful to sing. I hate the Spanish rolled R's. They are so unsophisticated and low class.

@Palin

We have specific 'home-copy-rights' here. This was meant back in the time in err.. the 1980's the solution to not to have to buy 2 copies of the same cassette or you could copy the LP to a cassette so you could listen in your car to your music you just bought. This way you could have the original cassette or LP at home, and still listen legally to the same song on cassette in your car.
We had to pay rights when buying empty cassette tapes.
Also you could copy the legal copy of a neighbour for practising to yourself.

This is still the same, however cassette tapes have been replaced by cd-r's. We still pay rights when buying cd-r's. I think it was 15cents or so per cd.

Nowadays on the internet, we can see the uploader of music as the neighbour, and because we can't be sure his stuff is legal or illegal, it's legal to download. Also because we still have to pay those rights (that go to music industry). But we're not allowed to upload to the internet.

So if they want to forbid downloading music for free, they should first stop those copy rights, and the money we have to pay for that now should also disappear, so a cd is 15 cents per piece cheaper.
