So you're all saying chavs are what we in the US call "inside-out oreos"? I've actually been wondering about this word for a while but I think I have got the gist of it now. Thanks

"chav" is a word that is overused by an obnoxious jerk on the Languages forum. That particular jerk is Sorin.

Chavs (England and Wales) or Neds (Scotland) . We've covered this topic to the point of exhausation. This is my last word on these "fashion scum" and their bling bling and Wiki accurately describes this free loading blight on the urban (and not so urban) scene in the Blessed Plot:
