If you thought Viet Nam was bad, what about IRAQ??? ha ha , what embarrasment! At least Spanish SUCCEDED in wiping out aztecs, but America couldn't wipe out anyone if they had all tanks in the world.

The point is that you're a hypocrite for bringing up the subject to begin with. It's just sour grapes on the part of Mexicans and Hispanics because they're on the losing end this time and will continue to be for the foreseeable future. Luckily we're not as ambitious as previous empires, or else all of the Americas would have been speaking English starting in the late 1800s.

Hey Franco, dumbass, the goal isn't to wipe anyone out. If we wanted to wipe out the Vietnamese or the Iraqis, they would be gone by now.

<< The same disgusting opinion I have for indigenous Indian civilisations erased in North America, no more no less. So what is the point? >>

Well, since you're so thick headed, I'm gonna have to spell it out for ya:

The point is that, since you took over the land that belongs to the South American indigenous civilisations, therefore, you cannot blame North Americans for taking over your land in New Mexico, Arizona and Texas.

If your house is made of glass, don't throw stones at other people.
Get it, shithead?

Didn't these "indigenous civiizations" kill off, or otherwise replace an earlier Caucasian Ainu-like population? Just about every current civilization in existence has displaced or wiped out some prior population.

Yes, they're coming to wipe out our toilets!

I only know that there will be 100 million of Hispanics in 2050. 25-30% of population will speak Spanish. A lot of people, Anglos and Hispanics will be bilingual.

If you want to be monolingual it´s your problem, but your children will be bilingual, of course.

It's the truth what Guest says!

Spanish IS the future, it doesn't care how much you negate that!

While any language will be useful for some jobs or for some regions, French is the only foreign language that can be useful throughout the world as well as in the United States. French as a foreign language is the second most frequently taught language in the world after English. The International Organization of Francophonie has 51 member states and governments. Of these, 28 countries have French as an official language. FRENCH IS THE ONLY LANGUAGE OTHER THAN ENGLISH SPOKEN ON FIVE CONTINENTS. FRENCH AND ENGLISH ARE THE ONLY TWO GLOBAL LANGUAGES.

French, along with English, is the official working language of:

the United Nations
UNESCO
NATO
Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD)
the International Labor Bureau
the International Olympic Committee
the 31-member Council of Europe
the European Community
the Universal Postal Union
the International Red Cross
Union of International Associations (UIA)

French is the dominant working language at:

the European Court of Justice
the European Tribunal of First Instance
the European Court of Auditors in Luxembourg.
the Press Room at the European Commission in Brussels, Belgium

One example of the importance of French can be seen in a recent listing of international jobs (4/30/02) distributed by the U.S. State Department: 111 required or preferred French, 45 Spanish, 44 a UN language (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, and Spanish), 10 Arabic, 9 Russian, 3 German, 2 Chinese.
