Spanish spelling reform

This reminds of Afrikaans(Cape Dutch) wherein the words that start with "C" were replaced with "S" as in "Centrum" spelled as "Sentrum".

Does this mean that Spanish is on its way to further simplification? Dutch is the simplified form of Low German and Afrikaans is the further simplification of the original speech.

being 97% phonetical I don't think we really need any further simplification.

If Spanish had the English verbs it would be really simple

¿"Kando"? ¿No sería "kuando" o "kwando"?

Since you brought it up,is Romanian 100% phonetical? Just curious.

I don't think so, no language is 100% phonetical, but Spanish comes pretty close.

It depends on which dialect of Spanish you are talking about. If you refer to one which distinguish LL/Y, C/Z and V/B , it is quite phonetic. But American Spanish is not as phonetic .

American Spanish is the easiest: few phonemes, easy intonation, slow pronuncition! They don't even use vosotros and its verbal forms! Those who make use of vos don't use tu, so everything is really simple

If everyone distinguished between LL/Y, C/Z and V/B then Spanish would be 100% phonetical, but since most people don't it is 97%, still it comes pretty close to be perfect.
