Hi Damian? Well, Californians, especially teenagers (and especially girls) do have a unique way of speaking? Sometimes it's hard to describe how it's different from "standard American", but you'll soon see that there's a difference? It's not just the pronunciation of individual words, but there are other characteristics? So, like, sure, come out to California and you will pick up the accent too?
