How To Pronounce Borrowed Words in Mexican Spanish

When I see big, long words that are not of Spanish origin, I am at a loss as to how to pronounce them. I'm thinking of those words that probably came from the people who lived in the land before the arrival of the Spanish.

Do I pronounce them as letters in Spanish? Do Mexicans (for example) know how to pronounce these words based on letter patterns.

I think they just pronounce them using Spanish pronunciation.

We have the same problem in English, with words such as Schagticoke, Skaneateles, Poughkeepsie, Valatie, Kayaderosseras, Poughquag, Rensselaer, etc. We just pronounce them sort of like ordinary English words, without any of the "strange" sounds from the original language.
