No. I would advise everyone: don't buy into joke etymologies and acronym etymologies. They're almost always false. Check out etymonline.com.

Pluck U is a restaurant in Manhattan that specializes in chicken. The name has to do with chickens which are plucked.

It's a common misconception that this is where the 'f you' phrase came from... It's not... The story goes that during the 100 years war the French would cut the middle finger off the English longbowmen when they were captured because they needed it to draw arrows from their quills in a timely fashion... After a victory the English held up their middle finger saying 'pluck yew' referring to the fact they could still grab their arrows in a timely manner.

This is a myth. There's no reason to believe that 'plucking' arrows from the quill was the term used at the time. Furthermore, the English don't use their middle finger as the 'f you' gesture typically, using instead the 'V sign.'
