The American neutral accent is kind of annoying. You're going to have to pick one that is perceived as having no accent, such as an urban accent of the Western US (I always say this, Denver and Salt Lake City, or even Phoenix or Las Vegas; even El Paso is fairly 'neutral-sounding').

If you are a foreigner and learn English in a fairly standard place you won't actually have an accent when speaking English that is strongly characteristic to the place where you learned it. That is, the foreign characteristics will almost always outweigh the local characteristics you picked up. So it's best to worry about ridding your English of foreign characteristics instead of worrying about acquiring a local accent. You could sound like a 'wannabe' or a charlatan or a 'try-hard' or just simply ridiculous otherwise.
