I do this with /str/ and sometimes with /skr/, but it's not actually [S] AFAICT. I think it's [s\], but I'd have to look at some spectrograms to be sure. In any case, the /r/ is sometimes elided in /tr/ and /dr/ clusters in my dialect, but the result isn't homophonous with /tS/ or /dZ/; I think they're [ts\] and [dz\].
