Is this a correct sentence?

"It doesn't matter the source you use because we're talking about a commonly known fact"

It's technically incorrect but most speakers would probably accept it as correct. It should be "It doesn't matter what source you use, because we're talking about a commonly known fact".

Or "The source that you use doesn't matter".
