Could you explain why he mentions his dinner, please?
Does it mean he always watches the show while having dinner or cooking it?

It means that he goes to make dinner at the same time that Keith Olbermann's show comes on. But I think the quote implies that the person *doesn't* watch Keith Olbermann, for that reason.
