The people to whom I spoke in Japanese were in their 60s, which means they probably got educated in Japanese when Japan had invaded Taiwan. Interesting is that people in Taiwan have a nice attitude towards Japanese whereas in Korea I was stared at by people, who told me I should speak in English...Then I told them I'm not American and speak in the language I feel comfortable with->Japanese.
