And it's driving me crazy cuz I can't find it.
When somebody says that something is untrue, what verb describes that action? I don't think it's 'deny.' I just know that the word I'm seeking is the antonym of 'affirm."
-Did you go swimming yesterday?
-Yes.
Here he/she affirmed that the went swimming
-Did you go swimming yesterday?
-No.

What did they do here?
