Have you ever heard of a dictionary? By consulting a *good* dictionary, you may be able to find a good English word suitable for your sentence, (assuming of course that you know how to use a dictionary). If you can't find a good choice of word for your sentence by yourself (in which case you are more than a bit dumb), why should we tell you the word?

As I'm so kind today, I'll help you. The word you are looking for starts with "con" and ends with "tion". (I may be overestimating your ability to solve word puzzles, though.)

You're too kind.

Construction   Fri May 08, 2009 7:38 pm GMT
It's a healthy task.
Contemplation   Fri May 08, 2009 7:39 pm GMT

Conlang invention   Fri May 08, 2009 7:46 pm GMT
Whatever.

QUESTION:

"We need to implement this new strategy to protect the health of our employees and ... of our equipment"
What word best describes health when it comes to equipment?

...to ensure the proper function of our equipment.

...the well being of our equipment.

(The danger is that you refer to equipment as if it was a human or animal.)

...proper functioning...

... the correct maintenance of our equipment.

(convention - is not the right word) I don't think that a dictionary would necessarily help, although you could try a Thesaurus.
