The original sentence in the text book reads:
'X is larger than Y'

Assume that my classmate read it as follows:
'Y is larger than X'

How can I describe his erroneous action? I want to say that she reversed them when reading the sentence.

Can I say, 'you reversely misread the sentence'?

<<Can I say, 'you reversely misread the sentence'? >>

Tell him he got it backwards. That's all you need to say.
