Hi there,

I need the meaning of the following:
"We are even so far"

Thanks

"We are even" means either that the two people are evenly matched in competition (most likely, from what little context I can glean here), or do not owe each other anything (once you pay off a debt you are said to be "even"). "So far" means "at this point", or "for now", with the implication that this could change in the future.

Thanks Uriel.

I didn't think about splitting the sentence in two.
I know the meaning of each word, but I was trying to figure out the meaning as a whole.
This message was sent to me as a respond to a conversation about being in a relationship. Initally I took it as " we are so far in the relationship", but then because the word "even" I thought I might have been wrong.
But now I see it as you said.
