Do you use plural verbs for uncountable nouns?

Both "water" and "juice" are uncontable nouns. Then which verb do you use for the following sentences?

#1.
a) Water and juice ARE available in the back of the hall.
b) Water and juice IS available in the back of the hall.

#2.
a) Salt and pepper WERE already added in the dish.
b) Salt and pepper WAS already added in the dish.

Thanks in advance.

Because you're talking about two things being available, irrespective of the fact that they're individually uncountable things.

Water is available in the back of the hall.
Water and juice are available in the back of the hall.

If you substituted the pronoun "they" you'd use "are" because you're referring to multiple things, right?

They are available in the back of the hall. What? Water and juice.

hope that helps
