Multiple definitions on Supermemo?

Hello,

What would be the most effective way to add a word to Supermemo if the word :

-has more than one meaning and thus has more than one definition and;
-has more than one sample sentence (one sample sentence per meaning to be exact)

Is it better to make a new item for each new meaning of the word, or is it better to make only one item and put multiple definitions in the question field and multiple sample sentences in the answer field?

Thanking you in advance,

Simplify the explanations and put everything in one card. You don't need to know every meaning of a word or a verb, you can often get away with the most important or common meaning and then you can keep in mind that all the other meanings are more or less related to that one.
So simplify as much as you can. I started to use a software like that too, and I got stuck when I realized I was trying to remember "exact" meanings and a lot of subtleties. Don't do that. Just use the software to remember the "general" meaning, and then you will learn all the subtleties over time, by practicing regularly.

Definitely use separate items for each meaning.
