how can I learn BR Portuguese pronunciation?

Adam   Thu Oct 15, 2009 9:47 pm GMT
I read the rules, but I still get very confused once I try to read or listen to clips on youtube. To me, learning French pronunciation was super easy compared to Portuguese! Are there any good resources or methods to help me with this? Thanks in advance!

Try Living Language Portuguese (Basics)-not expensive, and probably available used. It's BP Portuguese, but gives a few examples of EP in addition to different accents from Rio and SP.

There is also a book in the "Everything" series for Brazilian Portuguese.

Vocabulearn has two levels of Portuguese. I believe that they feature Brazilian Portuguese, but check to be sure. That should give you practice with about 5,000 words (I think). Penton Overseas is the company.

FSI Portuguese. I believe it is BP, but I'm not sure. It's on the internet-a huge resource.
