How do you pronounce ''Florida''? I pronounce it /flOr@d@/. The first syllable sounds sounds like the word ''floor'' in my pronunciation. This is where I'm from.

/florId@/ --> ["flOr\I4@], here. I use the same vowel as you. People who aren't "Tory-torrent" merged are likely to have /Q/ or /A/ for that word.
