ALL important books are in English, French, Russian, German, Swedish, Italian, Dutch, and even Portuguese but none in Spanish . You don't need more to be a doctor because no scientific study is done in Spanish.

Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

OK. We can compare both languages, and we can see which one is more important:

Spanish is the second most spoken language as mother tongue, with some 410 million (75 French). It is the second, after Chinese.

Besides, Spanish is spoken by some 500 million people as total speakers (195 million French). It is the third, after English and Spanish. French is not in the top ten.

Spanish according to the Steinke index is the third economic language, after English and Chinese. French is sixth

Spanish according to the Worldstats webpage is the third language, after English and Chinese. French is sixth

Spanish is the second most studied World language, after English, according to the Instituto Cervantes. French is third

Spanish is the first or second language in some 30 countries or states. French has similar figures

Finally, Spanish is the dominant language in Latin America, the second language in North America, fourth most studied in European Union, official in African Union and some minorities in Asia-Pacific.

French is the dominant language nowhere. Almost no spoken in Latin America, minorities in North America, third most studied in European Union, probably third in Africa, and some minorities in Asia-Pacific.

<<In Western Hemisphere the most spoken language is English. After English, Portuguese is the second.

After them, French, Guarani and Spanish are fighting for the third place. >>

(or, is this just a humorous/satirical post?)

Stupid, it is the opposite. Spain exports a lots of books (science, literature, etc) to Latin America, Europe and USA (Hispanic market).

Spain is one of the most powerful exporters in the World, thanks to have a World language. Spain is nowadays fourth, better than France.

For some time I have resisted the temptation to contribute to this thread - Being English, the opportunity to be rude about anything vaguely French is very tempting, in fact it is a rule, BUT it is too easy a target - We are, after all, brought up and trained from birth for just such an opportunity. (This may be connected to the fact that whenever we cross the "English" Channel and meet French people in France they insist on speaking French, just to be awkward, even though we know full well that they can speak English if they want to!)

"Dear K.T. ...
They can access our PC's by determining our IP addresses and knowing what's on our PC screen. I know it because of the ant-threat in installed in my PC and showing their IP addresses too."

Hmmm. I haven't heard of any problems with the computers on our network, but perhaps I'll look into this.

OK. We can compare both languages, and we can see which one is more important:

French has the largest number of secondary speakers, with 190 million (20 Spanish). It is the ahead of English.

Besides, French is spoken by some 500 million people as total speakers (330 million French). It is the fourth, after Chinese, English, and Hindi. Spanish is not in the top five.

French speaking world according to the Miniwatts Marketing Group has a GDP of $19,700. Spanish has only $7,100

French according to the "The World Speaks French" webpage is the 2nd most important language on the Internet, based on WWW pages, number of discussion lists, and number of countries connected to the Internet (not in the number of users). Spanish is after German, Italian, Dutch, Japanese, Polish.

French is the second most studied World language, after English, according to the Websites written by non-Francophones particularly Anglo-Saxons. Spanish comes after Russian, Arabic, German, and Italian

French is the first or second language in some 55 countries or states. Spanish has 21.

Finally, French is the dominant language in Francophone Africa, the second global language, third most studied in European Union, official in Mercosur and some minorities in Asia-Pacific.

Castilian Spanish is the dominant language nowhere. Almost no spoken in Latin America, minorities in North America, fifth most studied in European Union, definitely extinct in the Philippines, Guam, and Marianas.

Idiot, it is the opposite. Even though Spain exports huge volume of books no one buys and reads them because they are of very poor quality.

France is the fourth largest exporting country after Germany, China and USA. Spain is out of top 20 exporting counties so definitely France is much much better than Spain.

Your source is again written by a hispanic full of lies just like your head full of lice.

Spaniards are not the target of of people on this forum. It is the Frenchs. That's the reason why one of the rules on this forum is this one:
"you will not post:
1.Messages not related to languages, for example, messages about war in Iraq, the French, TV shows, sex, the weather, etc.
"
