A. F.

As everyone knows, the Ango-Saxon world has an amazing variety of obscure weights and measure. So rather than add to 'raisins', I thought I would raise my own topic on the subject of 'American Flats'.

Whitworth is a clue if you are wondering what an 'American Flat' is.

Alternatively, A/F was a much more common measure (sorry I am repeating myself).

"BA, BSF, BSW,UNC, UNF, and METRIC Threads High Tensile Grade 12.9 To British and DIN Standard - Self Colour ..."

I have not been able to find a website with a really good explanation.

Measurement seems to have a lot in common with spelling and grammar!
