Portuguese vs Spanish

I really like Spanish, but listening to it is rather like being shot by a machine gun "da-da-da-da-da-da-da". When I hear Portuguese, it sounds much more varied in rhythm, even though it's totally gobbledigook to me. Why did these languages end up sounding so different from each other, both being Ibero-Latin derivatives?

Steak 'n' Chips from where u are?

Yes i live in a house and i receive many exchangers(luxemburgo, russia, usa, canada, south africa...) all of them like more portuguese.
They say -but spanish is not that bad.
I retort: "its because nobody speaks one copy of ur language with an shrill accent.Imagine the follow: one people speaking ur language with the same tone of one spanish"
they immediately shut up the mouth.

So, Portuguese people don't like hearing Portuguese spoken with a Spanish accent.

<< Even Portuguese has a wider geographic distribution.

Portuguese, 4 continents
Spanish, 3 continents >>

You forgot to include Australia for Spanish - that makes at least 4 continents

Spanish is spoken in Antarctica too.

There are 6 continents: America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Oceania and Antarctica.

If America is divided in sub continents (Sout America and North America), it also we can say that India is a continent, etc...

If you don't like some accent in Spanish, just move on to another variety. Heck, there are at least five big regional accents. If you don't like the accent in Rio, you can try the accent in SP, or the TV accent or the accent from Portugal.

That's your opinion.

North america, and south america are seperate continents.

<<North america, and south america are seperate continents>>

That's your opinion.

North america, and south america are the same continent.

<<That's your opinion.>>

ok Pablo....

...but our opinion makes more sense objectively, since North America and South America are geographically separated.

Neither make sense, actually. As long as Europe and Asia are considered separate, any model is ridiculous.
