There are a lot of Indian call centres that service clients in the UK. So Indian people working in India are very familiar with British accents. Also there are a lot of people from the Indan sub-continent in the UK.

We have them in the US as well. Some of the employees even speak Spanish. I can tell that they work hard, but sometimes it's hard work understanding them. The problem is that my bank uses them. Is it "seventy" or "seventeen"? Words like this can cause a problem. I hate to keep asking for a confirmation...
