what does "toms" mean here?
"but everyone told her to see how she feels after her mom talks to her toms..."

She could be referring to her 'Tom cats' (male cats)

Being British, I can imagine "toms" being a dirty word in this situtation.

Not being British, I can't.

Why do you keep deleting my post. That is, i reiterate, not something I have ever come across whilst living in New Zealand

I thought it was a shortcut for "tomorrow" but I guess I'm worng

"Tomorrow" seems more plausible than "tomcats" -- why do you think you're wrong.

BTW, Where is this quote from: Britian , US, New Zealand, etc? Maybe if you gave us more context, it could be helpful.

Toms or Tommies were a term the Germans used to called the British during the war years.

It's like something from a Carry On movie, where a woman has two tom cats, and the guy says to her, "That's a lovely pair of toms you've got there. Can I stroke them?"
