British people need to confirm this ....

I don't belive in IPA phonetic symbols so much, that I just wanna ask you (the Brits) about the most common pronunciation of /i:/ . It's hard to believe that according to that transcription it is just very similar to Italian " i " , except that it is longer (the one from words like: italia, giorno..) etc...

How in the world could some British monoglot tell you if their pronunciation of that sound compared to anything in Italian?

Nonsense.

By the way, the word "giorno" hasn't got any /i:/ sound. It is in fact pronounced something like "djorr - noh".

Pete, it is not fair for you to take out your anger and shame on innocent posters.

It is not anglians fault you were live in peru.

Might I suggest killing yourself?

Is that really you, Irony?
Somehow I doubt it.
It's the spammer dwarf again, using someone else's name.

Pete some Brits here are well accustomed to IPA transcription and phonetics, no doubt about it....And my question is not for native Spanish speakers, btw if you wanna show your anger I suggest you go to Cuba ->stand in Havana and say loud that Fidel is a prick or what!
