The real status of official languages in the UN

Many of these posts are entirely ridiculous. Spanish is a very widely used language, not only in Latin and Central America, but in many other countries on almost all the continents. Please note, Spanish is the official language of more countries than any other language, so of course it's a major language. French is also important, as it's spoken WIDELY in AFRICA. Many of you are simply thinking of it as a European language, but this is not so. It is widely spoken in Europe, but is more widely spoken in Africa.

And just FYI, Russian is not the most spoken language of Europe.
