Not exactly. Normally, you can write "[Noun] is [adjective]", as in "That car is blue". But "That man is wife-beating" doesn't really work. "He's a wife-beating husband" isn't quite as awkward, but it's still a bit odd. It's better to say "He's a wife beater" or, even better, "He beats his wife".
Since you can say "He's a cock-sucking faggot" you can say "He's a wife-beating husband" too.

I think it is the word "husband" that sounds out of place. If you replace "husband" it sounds fine: "He's a wife-beating bastard" "He's a wife-beating fudgepacker" "He's a wife-beating macho man" "She's a wife-beating Dutchwoman" |
