Will the Euro crash lead to global government

While I was initially very happy to see that the Euro is failing and that the European Union appears to be floundering, I can't help but think that this could, contrary to how it appears, lead to an increased impulse for a monolithic political union. That is, the bureaucratic scum will now have a "justification" for increasing Brussels's control over the EU, playing on people's fear (it definitely works, before crisis Ireland says no to the Lisbon treaty, after they say yes). The crisis could even be manufactured artificially with precisely this idea in mind, or at the very least, now that it has happened they are capitalising on the opportunity. After all, the people responsible for the crisis are all of the kind that would love to see a global government established - socialist governments, high spenders, bankers, welfare states. When they create a create a crisis they can practically take control of an entire country. Greece is no longer a sovereign nation - they are at the mercy of Brussels.

So, do you think this crisis is a intentional European Project? A new "strategy of tension" aimed at financially strangling independence and bringing the people to such a level of discontent that they will welcome an "iron fist" takeover. Or is it just nonsense and it really is true that we may have the pleasure of seeing the EU collapse?

It will all depends on the British collapse.......

A EURO collapse is more likely to turn the "Great Recession" into the worldwide "Great Depression II".
